After nearly a decade in the fashion industry, I became very familiar with the physical toll a sedentary lifestyle can take on the body. Long hours at a desk, combined with a lengthy commute to New York City, left me with persistent neck, shoulder, and lower back pain. Although I had always maintained an active lifestyle through cardio and strength training, it wasn’t until I discovered Pilates that I truly began to understand my body. Before long, the chronic pain I had lived with for years seemed to disappear almost like magic.
Inspired by the profound changes Pilates brought to my own body, I decided to deepen my knowledge of the Method and pursue teaching. I completed my Full Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certification through Authentic Pilates Learning Center (APLC), receiving extensive training across the complete
Pilates system and apparatus.
That experience became the foundation of my belief in the Pilates Method and its ability to benefit every body. Pilates develops core strength, alignment, stability, control, and body awareness, the essential foundations that allow us to move with greater efficiency, confidence, and ease.
What continues to inspire me as an instructor is witnessing the subtle yet meaningful changes in my clients. Every body has its own history, needs, strengths, and limitations, and I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to movement. With thoughtful guidance and a practice tailored to the individual, clients can become stronger, more balanced, and more connected to their bodies while gaining confidence in the way they move.
My role as an instructor is to meet each client where they are and thoughtfully guide them through their individual journey, creating a practice that is safe, intentional, challenging, and enjoyable. For me, Pilates is about more than building a stronger body. It is about developing a deeper connection with your body and creating a strong foundation that supports not only your Pilates practice, but all forms of movement and everyday life.
